Description
Massaia is a fragrant and mineral rosé produced by Viticcio in the vineyards of Greve in Chianti, from equal parts Sangiovese and Syrah grapes. The vineyards are located at 300 meters above sea level, facing north and northwest, on clay soils with the presence of stones and alberese rocks. The vines, trained in Guyot, are between 8 and 18 years old.
The alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel at a low temperature (13°C), without malolactic fermentation. The wine then ages for 5 months on the lees in steel, with cold stabilization.
Bright pale pink to the eye. The nose opens with aromas of sweet fruit, wild strawberries, raspberry, and citrus. The palate is fresh, with vibrant acidity, delicate tannins, and a persistent finish featuring citrus and spicy nuances.
Perfect with light appetizers, summer salads, raw fish, or first courses with fresh vegetables.
