Description
The Tuscan red wine Il Radagio of Tenuta di Carleone originates from vineyards located in Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena. Tenuta di Carleone was founded in 2012 by Karl Egger, who, with the help of his friend Sean O'Callaghan, produces wines following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and a low-intervention winemaking philosophy.
The wine is made in equal parts from Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, which are vinified in cement vats for 5 months, followed by an aging period of one year in the same containers.
Intense ruby red in color, it opens on the nose with aromas of red and black berries such as blueberries, wild strawberries, and currants. On the palate it shows smooth tannins and great balance.
It pairs very well with tagliolini with truffle and grilled meats.
