Description

What kind of wine is it

Borgo dei Posseri's Brut is a Traditional Method sparkling wine created from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in the mountain vineyards of Trentino. The style is fresh and elegant, supported by a creamy texture and a distinctly persistent palate. The base wine matures in stainless steel before undergoing secondary fermentation in the bottle, followed by a long period on the lees that gives the wine a complex and smooth profile.

Where it comes from

This sparkling wine comes from the Trento denomination, made from vines cultivated at altitudes between 520 and 720 meters. The Alpine influence allows the grapes to ripen gradually and helps preserve acidity and flavor tension, both key to the region's style. The high-altitude vineyards guarantee a sharp, vertical character, with a notable freshness that supports overall finesse and extends the finish.

How it is made

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are vinified first in stainless steel tanks where the wine rests for eight months. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle using the Traditional Method, followed by a rigorous 30-month aging on the lees. This long maturation enhances aromatic complexity and develops a creamy mouthfeel, while keeping freshness and vibrancy at the core of the tasting experience.

Tasting notes

Clear and bright to the eye, with a fine and elegant mousse. The bouquet showcases fragrant fruit intertwined with hints of noble lees from the wine's extended aging in bottle. On the palate, it’s harmonious and creamy, displaying a balanced interplay between structure and acidity, with a smooth, enveloping sip that leads to a long, orderly finish.

Food pairings

This Brut pairs naturally with appetizers and light first courses, enhancing delicate dishes thanks to its intrinsic freshness. It is especially suited to fried seafood or trout carpaccio, a local culinary specialty. Its versatility also lets it accompany delicate desserts at the end of a meal, like a classic fruit tart.

When to serve it

Perfect for social occasions, this sparkling wine can be enjoyed throughout an entire meal to fully appreciate its lively mountain personality. It shines as part of a well-curated aperitif or as a companion to a seafood dinner, maintaining precision and continuity from start to finish. Designed to be enjoyed at its peak freshness, it offers a cleansing palate ideal for both formal gatherings and shared moments.
