Umbria IGT Fattoria del Pometo Sangiovese 2018 Lungarotti

Umbria Sangiovese di Lungarotti was born in the Fattoria del Pometo, between Torgiano and Montefalco, in the province of Perugia.

It is obtained from pure Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected manually between the months of September and October. Fermentation, with short maceration, takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by racking after 10-12 days.

Bright purple red in color, this Sangiovese opens to the nose with an intense aroma of green spices, cinnamon pepper, enriched with slightly buttery notes. On the palate it is balanced, fresh and well structured, with pleasant hints of fresh and violet fruit and harmonious tannins that give it a fresh and persistent finish.

Ideal in combination with first courses, barbecues, cold cuts, boiled meats, this red wine is perfect for accompanying spicy dishes, pizzas and mashed dishes.
