Description
What type of wine is it
Can Rich Rosat is an organic rosé made from Monastrell grapes grown with sustainable practices and produced by Can Rich. The profile is fresh and linear, with good aromatic intensity and a soft structure supported by lively acidity. The winemaking involves gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in steel, to preserve varietal aromas and fruit freshness. Bottling occurs while young to maintain the fruity component intact.
Where does it come from
The wine originates from the Buscastell estate in Ibiza, in an environment with a Mediterranean climate and fine-textured limestone soils. The proximity to the sea moderates summer temperatures and encourages even ripening, so the aromatic profile remains balanced. The maritime influence and the limestone nature of the soil express clear freshness and a recognizable savoriness, for an easy and pleasant drink.
How is it produced
Monastrell grapes are harvested and subjected to gentle pressing to obtain a clear and precise must, with limited extraction of color and tannins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, so the varietal characteristics and the fruity component remain intact. The wine is stabilized and bottled quickly with the aim of immediacy, aromatic clarity, and definition on the palate, without undergoing long aging processes.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it presents a pale pink and bright color, evidence of restrained extraction and stylistic finesse. The nose reveals intense aromas of wild rose and red fruits such as raspberry, currant, and cherry, with sweet hints of fig and candy. On the palate, the entry is soft, then lively acidity supports the mid-palate, and the sip stays smooth. The finish is dry and flavorful, with fruity returns and a balance between roundness and freshness.
Food pairing
This rosé pairs easily with fish carpaccio, tuna or amberjack tartare, vegetarian tapas, and grilled vegetables. Acidity and savoriness work well with fresh cheeses and cleanse the palate without overpowering flavors. It is suitable for Mediterranean seafood dishes, such as seafood fideuà, and Spanish cuisine to share. Potato tortilla highlights its roundness and fruity character.
When to serve it
Can Rich Rosat is intended for young consumption, when the aromatic profile is most defined and the freshness at its peak. Ideal between spring and summer and for informal occasions, it should be served chilled at 10–12 °C in medium-sized glasses to enhance its aromas. It works well as an aperitif or with light meals and seafood lunches. Thanks to its technical profile and early bottling, it gives its best within 1–2 years after production.
