Description
What kind of wine is it
The Rosat Spumante Brut Nature from Can Rich is an organic rosé sparkling wine from Ibiza made from Monastrell and Moscatel Grano Menudo. It is crafted using the Traditional Method, with 12 months aging on the lees, delivering a creamy structure and a clear aromatic profile. Its freshness and persistence make it ideal both as an aperitif and at the table.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the Buscastell estate, in the Ibizan hinterland. Organic viticulture adds value to the local varieties and helps to express the territory's character in the wine.
How it's made
Harvest takes place at optimal ripeness to preserve acidity and aromatic purity. After gentle pressing, phenolic extraction is limited to achieve delicate color and fine aromas. The second fermentation in the bottle follows the Traditional Method, and the 12-month aging on the lees develops creaminess and complexity, with disgorgement done without sugar addition.
Tasting notes
The color is pale pink with a fine, continuous perlage. On the nose, notes of rose, lavender, menthol, wild strawberry, and candied fruit intertwine with bakery hints. The palate is rich and lively, with well-integrated effervescence and a dry texture typical of Brut Nature. The finish is dry, long, and clean, with a balance between freshness and volume.
Food pairing
Pairs well with delicate cured meats and light starters thanks to its dryness and bubbles that cleanse the palate. With shellfish such as prawns and scampi, it enhances sweetness and mineral notes. It also complements soft cheeses with its creaminess. It works well with fish tapas and seafood paella, enhancing the wine’s persistence and freshness.
When to serve
Perfect for those seeking a dry, food-friendly rosé made with the Traditional Method, suitable from aperitif to seafood dishes. Serve between 6 and 8 °C in tulip-shaped glasses to highlight the perlage and aromas. Allow the wine to breathe for a few minutes. The freshness is immediately noticeable, while the wine’s cellar life remains excellent over time.
