Description

Milbrandt Syrah by K Vintners is a red wine from the Wahluke Slope in Washington State, made from Syrah grapes sourced from the Northridge and Clifton Hills vineyards. These sites feature sandy, calcareous, and gravelly well-drained soils that promote concentration, minerality, and balanced ripening.

The vinification involves indigenous yeasts and whole cluster fermentation, with extended skin maceration and aging on the lees in French oak barrels, some of which are new, to enhance structure, complexity, and aromatic precision.

On the nose, it offers notes of blackberry, black raspberry, dark plum, spices, black pepper, cardamom, and mineral undertones, while the palate is juicy, silky, and intense, with good freshness and a long, savory finish.

It pairs well with grilled meats, spiced ribs, roast duck, rich stews, and blue cheeses.
