Geografico is a winery that has brought the shared passion of 17 winemakers together into a single project since 1961. That same year saw the release of their first wine. Today Geografico brings together a community of 80 families who, with skill and dedication, continue to enhance the uniqueness of a wine that is personal and made from a variety of different locations, and one that is always capable of drawing upon ancient traditions and knowledge of the present. With this sound intuition, Geografico has contributed to revitalising the image of Chianti Classico all over the world and to expanding this true passion for regional wines into a representative project that also includes San Gimignano and Montalcino.

Under the guidance of wine experts Alessandro Barabesi and Riccardo Cotarella, Geografico has created regional wines with an innovative and modern flair such as the Chianti Classico Contessa di Radda (90 pt LM), fresh and with intriguing red fruit flavours, as well as the Riserva (93 pt LM) version, with its velvety tannins and notes of herbs, ripe fruit and wood which nicely round off the exuberance of Sangiovese grapes with spice and fruitiness. Another wine worth mentioning is the Brunello di Montalcino (91 pt WE), a full-bodied and sophisticated wine, elegant and rich in tannins. La Pevera (94 pt WC) is a tribute to the creation of this wine grower's collective back in 1962, a fine blend with a long ageing process that combines notes of dried fruits and harmonious tannins with hints of balsamic vinegar and vibrant body.
