When love for the land and nature moves everything. The bond of the Spalletti Trivelli Counts (family originally from Reggio Emilia, where she had come from distant Switzerland in the mid 1600s) with Tuscany, began about 130 years ago, a few decades after the unification of Italy, with the purchase of 650 hectares of land north-east of Florence, in a small corner of paradise with breathtaking views over the Val di Sieve.

In all these years, the Conti Spalletti Trivelli family has never abandoned their love for this land, dedicating themselves with passion, for five generations, to the enhancement of wine, with a Chianti that has all the taste of tradition.

Chianti Rufina DOCG 2017 Colognole

The Chianti Rùfina of the Colognole farm was born in the small DOCG area located in the province of Florence.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Colorino grapes, left to macerate for 10 - 12 days at a controlled temperature of 27 ° with frequent aging and pumping over. Sangiovese is aged for 15 months in Slavonian and French oak barrels, while Colorino stays for 12 months in second-passage Allier oak barriques. Bottle refinement follows.
