Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari
The Folonari family has been operating in the wine sector since the late 1700s and already in 1825 the mission was to produce and distribute the best Italian wines in the world. After the Second World War and the profound changes that this brought to Italy in terms of economic growth, the Folonari began to produce new high quality wines, which helped to create the new frontier of Italian wine.
At the end of the 1960s the family began to focus on wines bottled at the origin, thanks also to the acquisition of the famous Tenuta di Nozzole near Greve in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico, and at the same time bought other estates in Tuscany, with the goal of creating and producing fine wines. In 2000, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari Tenute were created, giving life to a group of companies located in areas with the highest wine-growing vocation in Tuscany. Today the company produces wines of the highest quality, with a strong link with the territory.
