Charles Ellner
Champagne Charles Ellner is an independent Maison with a family character, which has its headquarters in Epernay, the true capital of the Champagne region. The Ellner family has been involved in viticulture for over a century and has handed down the culture and ancient savoir-faire from generation to generation, up to the present day. Even today, within the Maison, ancient customs are followed, in order to be able to offer labels characterized by craftsmanship and attention. Ellner Champagnes are the pure expression of a classic style, capable of telling a territory and its history in a glass. The Maison can count on a park of particularly prestigious vineyards, managed with great care and in harmony with the natural context. The vineyards cover a total area of about 50 hectares, divided into many plots, which are located in different areas of the Champagne region: Côtes d'Epernay, Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Côte de Sézanne, Vallée de la Marne and Bar sur Aubois. The presence of vines grown in areas with different microclimates and soils, allows you to have a wide range of vins clairs with different characteristics.
A richness that allows each year to create harmonious and balanced cuvées. Each parcel is, in fact, vinified separately and only at the time of assembly the Chef de Cave will choose the wines to be used for the creation of the various labels of the wide range of the Maison. The possibility of having vineyards available in all areas of Champagne guarantees that pinot noir, meunier and chardonnay can be grown in the most historically suitable places. A guarantee of having grapes, they are not of excellent quality, but also perfectly ripe, aromatically rich and with a high dose of acidity, essential for sparkling wine with the Champenoise method. The result of meticulous work in the vineyard and careful cellar practices that are very respectful of the raw material, is a range of highly fascinating, intense, fresh and mineral labels. The Champagne offer of the Maison is divided into two different categories, the Classic Collection, which includes the labels: Extra-Brut, Grand Réserve Brut, Blanc de Blancs Brut, Rosé Brut, Premier Cru Brut, Integral, Carte d'Or Brut and the prestigious Collection of Millesimati., which represents the spearhead of the Maison, with bottles characterized by long aging on the lees. Ellner Champagnes are examples of refined elegance, a synthesis of ancient traditions, which are renewed and carried on with great passion and competence.
