The Falerno del Massico Rosso by Villa Matilda is a red wine made up of Aglianico and Piedirosso, two native grapes of the territory of Casertano, harvested in the Tenuta di Castrese (CE).
The wine is the result of refinements in woods of various sizes. 50% of the grapes are aged in Allier barriques, one third new; the remaining 50% is placed in traditional Slavonian oak barrels of 10 to 35 hl, for a period of 10/12 months, followed by a period of refinement in the bottle.
