Description
Seña is a great Chilean wine from the Aconcagua Valley, born from the partnership between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, with the aim of expressing Chile’s full potential through a red wine inspired by Bordeaux and with a local soul. The blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Carmenere, and Petit Verdot, sourced from vineyards managed according to biodynamic principles in a region influenced by the cool breezes of the Pacific Ocean.
The winemaking process is aimed at preserving balance, concentration, and elegance, enhancing the ripeness of the grapes and the natural freshness of the terroir. Aging takes place for about eighteen months, mainly in French oak barrels and in part in foudres, to integrate structure, aromatic complexity, and refined tannins.
In the glass, it displays a bright cherry color with violet hues. On the nose, it is fragrant and complex, with notes of plum, blueberry, and lavender, accompanied by delicate hints of sweet spices, cedar, and graphite; on the palate, it shows a refined balance between tension and breadth, with elegant tannins, good concentration, and an enveloping persistence.
It pairs elegantly with beef fillet, roasted lamb, or braised meats, enhancing its structure and aromatic depth.
