Description

What kind of wine it is

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico by Domini Veneti is a structured red wine, born from a meticulous blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes grown in the historic Valpolicella Classica. Characterized by an intense and defined profile, this wine takes shape through a long natural drying process of the grape clusters. The extended aging process gives back a concentrated and elegant character, designed to accompany the most important convivial occasions.

Where it comes from

This red wine originates among the hills of the historic Valpolicella Classica, a region with a strong and distinctive identity. The vines take root in charming terraced vineyards, skilfully interspersed with typical dry-stone walls that shape the agricultural landscape. The origin from this particular winegrowing area promotes the expression of a wine focused on precision, fully reflecting the peculiarities of its terroir.

How it is produced

The grape clusters are harvested in autumn and left to rest in the drying room until January, so that sugars and aromas can concentrate. Vinification involves controlled temperature fermentation followed by a slow thirty-day maceration on the skins. After malolactic fermentation, maturation takes place for eighteen months in oak barrels, and is then completed with a bottle aging of six to eight months.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a deep garnet red color, revealing strong visual concentration. The bouquet offers intense aromas of dried red fruit, enriched by well-integrated hints of tobacco and spices. On the palate, the sip is bold and enveloping, led by silky tannins that balance its structure. The finish is marked by a long-lasting persistence, consistent with its extended maturation process.

Food pairings

The gastronomic pairing requires structured dishes with long preparations, capable of balancing the wine’s vigor. It pairs excellently with braised meats and hearty grilled cuts of meat, which enhance its toasted notes and succulence. It is also a safe choice alongside cheese boards of long-aged cheeses and flavorful wild game dishes, creating a balanced combination.

When to serve

It proves ideal for accompanying important convivial moments, as it is suited for enriching lunches and dinners with robust preparations. Its complex structure calls for slow tasting, allowing the varied aromatic and flavor nuances to evolve pleasantly in the glass. This label is crafted to enhance main meat dishes, which it elevates with balance and an intense, enveloping sip.
