Description

What kind of wine is it

Barbaresco by Produttori del Barbaresco is a structured red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes. This label stands out for its well-defined technical approach, which skillfully enhances the grape variety’s natural qualities. The meticulous processing creates a wine with a strong character, supported by powerful tannins and a solid texture. It is a classic expression, designed to offer a sip rich in the nuances typical of ripe red fruit.

Where does it come from

This red originates from the Barbaresco area and is produced thanks to the work of about fifty member growers. The cooperative winery Produttori del Barbaresco is a virtuous model, combining the best production methods to enhance the raw material. The profound connection to the land is the project’s foundation and ensures careful vineyard management and strict attention to the quality of the grapes provided.

How is it produced

The process starts with fermentation of the must in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C. The extraction phase features a thirty-day maceration on the skins, essential for ensuring tannic strength. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged for twenty-four months in oak casks, a process aimed at integrating the polyphenolic structure to maintain a clear varietal expression.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color, a direct result of prolonged extraction. The nose opens with clear aromas of ripe red fruit, including notes of currant, raspberry, and blueberry. On the palate, it reveals a full body and precise balance, upheld by a vigorous tannic weave and great structure that keeps the finish compact and persistent.

Food pairings

At the table, it reveals its full potential when paired with rich dishes such as egg pasta and red meat main courses. The wine’s firm tannic profile and solid structure demand dishes able to match its intensity. It is also an excellent match for semi-aged cheeses, as its natural fullness pairs well with rich textures and concentrated flavors.

When to serve

It is the ideal choice for a full meal where a wine with a strong character and great structure is sought. It best expresses its features during lunches and convivial dinners with meat-based menus. The optimal tasting moment revolves around the correct food pairing, favoring occasions in which the power and intensity of each sip can be fully appreciated.
