Description

Penfolds Grange Bin 95 is one of the most celebrated expressions of Australian wine, a symbol of the Penfolds philosophy based on blending vineyards and districts across South Australia. Made primarily from Shiraz with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, it represents an intense, structured, and highly distinctive style, capable of combining power, complexity, and remarkable aging potential.

The winemaking process highlights fully ripe Shiraz grapes, rich in aromatic concentration and structure. The wine matures for about twenty months in new American oak barrels, helping to create a broad, enveloping, and complex profile where the oak integrates with the fruit without overpowering its identity.

In the glass, it displays an intense, deep, and opaque red color. On the nose, it reveals notes of dark plum, anise, licorice, and fennel, with spicy nuances and hints of well-integrated oak; on the palate, it is rich, smooth, and layered, with echoes of red fruits, cherry, Black Forest cake, blackberry, sour cherry, macerated fruit, cocoa, and dark chocolate, supported by velvety tannins and a long finish.

It pairs beautifully with grilled beef ribeye, roast lamb, or game in rich sauce, enhancing its depth and structure.
