Gift Box Franciacorta Vintage Nature Terroir Berlucchi

An elegant gift box that brings together Berlucchi’s Franciacorta Vintage Nature Terroir and two wine glasses, conceived as a gift idea for lovers of the classic method. It is a Franciacorta Millesimato at Dosaggio Zero, therefore with no dosage liqueur, that conveys its terroir in a direct way. It comes from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the estate vineyards Rovere, San Carlo and Ragnoli, in Corte Franca and Provaglio d'Iseo. The vines are over twenty years old and are trained at a very high density.

The grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed, using only the first fractions of free-run juice. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while a portion of the best lots ages on the lees in barriques and tonneaux of oak. After the secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine rests on the lees for at least five years and for another six months after disgorgement. In the glass it shows a creamy mousse and a fine perlage, with a color of deep straw yellow and subtle rose-gold nuances. The bouquet is refined, with yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus and hints of brioche. The palate is powerful and balanced, with a finely tuned line of acidity and an intense salinity on the finish. The two glasses included in the box help enhance perlage and aromas.

It is a Franciacorta for the whole meal, that consistently accompanies substantial first courses, fresh filled pasta and stewed fish main courses. It also pairs well with meat and cheese, including aged styles.
