Description
Beaune La Montée Rouge is produced from vines located on the Route de Bouze with a total area of about one and a half hectares. The Pinot Noir vines grow on clay soil rich in iron and pebbles.
After harvesting, there is a careful vinification, a five-day pre-fermentative cold maceration, and a total fermentation of 18 days without the use of yeasts or enzymes. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 15 months, with 20% new barrels, followed by a month in stainless steel tanks.
The wine displays a distinctive character, with an aromatic profile interweaving red fruits, mineral, and spicy notes, supported by an elegant tannic structure and lively acidity. The palate is complex, with a persistent length that reflects the unique expression of the Beaune terroir.
Beaune AOC La Montée Rouge pairs beautifully with red meat dishes, roasted poultry, and medium-aged cheeses, enhancing every bite with its aromatic richness and balance on the palate.
