Description
Grattamacco Bianco Vermentino is a Tuscan white wine made from 100% Vermentino grapes. Sourced from one of the most renowned areas of the Bolgheri denomination, this wine embodies the identity of the Grattamacco hill, thanks to a unique terroir and artisanal production methods. The vineyards, overlooking the sea and constantly kissed by breezes, contribute to the wine’s quality and freshness.
The grapes come from historic vineyards located 100 meters above sea level, on soils rich in white clay and calcareous marl flysch. Fermentation takes place one third in barriques, with the remainder in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for six months on fine lees with frequent bâtonnage before bottling.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color. The aromatic profile is broad and complex, with hints of ripe fruit, floral notes, and subtle saline nuances. On the palate, it is balanced and vibrant, with pleasant freshness and a mineral streak that accompanies a long, lingering finish.
Perfect paired with fish dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses.
