Description
Le Potazzine is a small, family-run estate and among the most highly regarded in the entire Montalcino area. The winery is located a few kilometers southwest of the ancient village of Montalcino. The wine is produced from grapes grown in two estate plots: one cultivated near the cellar at about 500 meters above sea level, and the other near Sant’Angelo in Colle at 420 meters, in an area with a milder and sunnier climate.
At the end of the harvest, the best Sangiovese bunches are fermented with a lengthy maceration on the skins for over 30 days. The wine ages in large Slavonian oak casks for at least 40 months before bottling.
A classic expression of elegance and harmony, it appears in the glass as a beautiful ruby red, with aromas of violet, morello cherry, and aromatic herbs. Cloaked in a velvety tannic texture, it offers a complex and lingering sip, characterized by delightful freshness.
Perfect alongside roasts, grilled meats, and small game.
