Description
What kind of wine is it
Champagne Brut Apanage is a cuvée from the maison Pommery, made from a selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. It is a cuvée with a creamy, complex profile, combining base wines from the most recent vintage with reserve wines from previous years.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the Champagne region and are selected by the maison Pommery to compose a balanced assemblage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
How it is made
The cuvée is born from the assemblage of base wines from the latest vintage with reserve wines from earlier vintages. An aging of about 42 months on the lees develops aromatic complexity and brings the wine to full maturity.
Tasting notes
On sight it is a bright straw yellow, with a lively, persistent mousse. On the nose, creamy, almost buttery notes prevail, with subtle citrus nuances recalling pink grapefruit. The creaminess also marks the palate, which unfolds into hints of hazelnut, apricot and vanilla, with faint touches of tobacco.
What it pairs with
It pairs well with a light charcuterie board, vegetable risottos and steamed shellfish, where the wine’s creaminess dialogues with the delicacy of the dishes.
When to serve it
This is a Champagne suited to social occasions and as an aperitif. For the festive season, Pommery Brut Apanage is offered in the Perù Edition gift box, part of the The World Art Collection - Perù 2026 selection. The project The World Collection celebrates a different culture each year, and this edition is decorated with motifs inspired by Peruvian culture, bringing a splash of color to holiday tables. It is a gift idea perfect for the end of the year.
