Description
Etna Rosso from Tenute Mannino is a red wine produced on the northern slope of Mount Etna, in Contrada Bragaseggi, within the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia. The vineyards are located at 600 meters above sea level, with roots deep in fine volcanic sand soils naturally enriched with iron, silicon, and pumice, with occasional deposits of lapilli and lava sand resulting from volcanic activity.
This wine is born from a blend of native grapes, mainly Nerello Mascalese and also Nerello Cappuccio. After a manual harvest, the grapes are vinified, and the wine matures for 12 months in large French oak barrels.
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it is elegant, with aromas ranging from citrus notes to hints of vanilla, accompanied by scents of ripe small red fruits and mineral undertones of flint. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, persistent, and well-balanced, with fine tannins that blend perfectly with the acidic component.
Perfect to pair with red meats, game, hearty first courses, and aged cheeses.
