Description

What type of wine it is

Tre di Tre by Lupo Meraviglia is a Puglian red made from Primitivo, Aglianico and Negroamaro. It shows structure and concentration, with a fruit-driven profile and a silky tannin texture. Vinification by saignée maximizes extraction from the skins to ensure intensity. Aging defines a ripe style in which the spicy notes balance the taste.

Where it comes from

The roots of this red lie in Puglia and find expression in Salento. The strong link with Lecce emerges from the label, which depicts the iconic city coat of arms with a wolf and a holm oak, near a masseria. This clear geographic matrix forges a wine of intense, recognizable character. The territory enhances the union of these three local varieties and yields a harmonious blend in which the regional identity stands out decisively.

How it is made

Production relies on the saignée method, an ancient practice aimed at increasing phenolic extraction. After crushing Primitivo, Aglianico and Negroamaro, the must in skin contact is partially drawn off to concentrate matter and color in the main liquid. A targeted aging in the cellar follows, which smooths the edges and defines the aromatic profile. This step lends consistency, resulting in a wine with a solid structural framework.

Tasting notes

On sight it displays a deep ruby-red color, a sign of marked concentration. The nose offers aromas of ripe fruit and jam, crossed by pleasant sweet and spicy streaks. On the palate it is structured and substantial, remaining consistent with the aromatic spectrum. The flavor weave is supported by silky tannins, well integrated into the liquid matrix, closing with a harmonious, long finish of notable poise.

Food pairing

Its firm structure makes it a perfect partner for flavorful first courses, as it stands up well to rich sauces. It finds its ideal match alongside braised red meats, which recall and amplify its spicy trail. The fine tannin texture masterfully enhances every roast preparation, such as beef enriched by its own pan juices. The fruit notes link to the intensity of more assertive recipes, offering a complete and satisfying pairing.

When to serve it

This blend proves excellent when you want to accompany hearty, convivial meals. It easily complements intense recipes and roasted mains, thanks to its densely knit palate and polished tannins. Aging gives it an aromatic silhouette that is already accessible, but to enjoy it fully we recommend serving in large-bowled glasses. A measured prior aeration encourages the opening of spicy and fruity notes, ensuring a decisive, clear-cut and always rewarding drink.
