Description
Millonario Kuytchi is a Peruvian rum-based spirit drink, based on Ron Millonario and enriched with natural aromas of cacao and dulce de leche. The name pays homage to Kuytchi, the Inca goddess of the rainbow, and stems from the Rossi family’s travels in Peru, the current owner of the brand, during which they discovered Vinikunka, the mountain of seven colors.
The base is Ron Millonario, originating in northern Peru from the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo, founded in 1904, with its sugarcane plantation. In 1938 a roller mill for sugar and a Scottish column still for distillation arrived in Chiclayo from Great Britain. Ron Millonario was officially born in 1950. Natural aromas of cacao and dulce de leche are then added to the base.
On the nose it is soft, buttery and vanilla-scented, with nuts, dates and chocolate. On the palate it recalls toffee and milk chocolate, with the sweetness of dates, raisins and honey. It has a soft, dense and enveloping body and a warm and sweet finish.
Serve neat or on the rocks, as an after-dinner drink or alongside dessert. It works well in creamy, sweet cocktails and can be added to coffee. Its cocoa and caramel notes make it a good match for chocolate desserts, vanilla ice cream and nuts.
