Description
Salento Tormaresca Fichimori by Marchesi Antinori originates from the S. Pietro Vernotico estate, owned by the Antinori family and located in Apulia, in the Salento area.
It is made mainly from Negroamaro grapes, with a small amount of Syrah grapes, cold macerated for 5 days at 5°C to extract the varietal aromas, colour, and softer polyphenolic components. The wine then ferments without skins at a controlled temperature of 18°C.
This wine has a purple-red color with elegant violet highlights. The nose is broad and intense, with a bouquet of cherry and strawberry, accompanied by hints of currant and pomegranate. The palate is pleasant and nicely savoury. It represents a modern, dynamic interpretation of Negroamaro.
This red wine is meant to be enjoyed cold, at a temperature of 8 - 10°C, and is ideal for pairing with raw fish such as tartare, sashimi, and sushi. Excellent with appetizers, it is also perfect with fish and white meats, either stewed or grilled.
