Coastal Region WO Shiraz Bergkelder Selection 2017 Fleur du Cap

Fleur du Cap's Shiraz Bergkelder Selection comes from selected vineyards in the Cape Agulhas area of South Africa.

It is produced entirely with Shiraz grapes, harvested only by hand at the end of February. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.

This Shiraz by Fleur du Cap has a dark ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens with fruity aromas of red cherry and raspberries, enriched with spicy notes of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate it is soft and juicy, with persuasive tannins and a pleasantly long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany grilled meat, roasted lamb and game, this Shiraz is ideal as a meditation wine.
