Description

Hexenbichler from Tramin is a red wine made from the native Schiava grape, cultivated in the hilly areas of Alto Adige at altitudes between 300 and 450 meters above sea level. The selected vineyards are located on calcareous soils with clay and gravel components and benefit from strong temperature variations between hot days and cool nights influenced by mountain winds, ideal conditions for preserving freshness and aromatic elegance.

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and placed in small containers to maintain their integrity. After destemming, they ferment at a controlled temperature in small steel vessels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The wine then matures first in cement tanks and then in large wooden barrels, refining its structure while maintaining the typical finesse of the grape variety.

In the glass it shows a bright ruby color and a delicate structure. On the nose, it offers a fresh and fruity bouquet with elegant notes of red fruit. On the palate, it is soft and balanced, with a mark of fresh fruit and a slight touch of bitter almond that accompanies a harmonious and persistent finish.

Ideal with traditional Alto Adige dishes, speck and cured meats, white meats, pizza, mushrooms, and delicate cheeses.
