Description

What kind of wine is it

The Vermentino from the Tuscan Vibes line by Geografico is a white wine made from Vermentino grapes grown in coastal areas. The style is fresh and vibrant, with a profile that highlights the fruit's purity and a savory finish. Vinification includes a cold maceration for a few hours and aging in stainless steel at controlled temperature, to preserve fragrance and balance, enhancing citrus notes and Mediterranean herbs.

Where does it come from

This wine comes from coastal Tuscany, where Vermentino finds a favorable habitat thanks to a mild climate. The sea breezes help define a clear aromatic profile and lively character on the palate, with a recognizable savory streak. Geografico interprets this context with the aim of maintaining authenticity and fruit purity, focusing on freshness and ease of drinking.

How is it produced

The harvest takes place at the end of August, during the coolest hours of the day, to protect the grape aromas. After a gentle pressing and destemming, the must undergoes a cold maceration for a few hours in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The winemaking approach aims to enhance Vermentino’s typical freshness, preserving the fruit’s integrity and a clean, harmonious balance.

Tasting notes

In the glass it shows a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, the bouquet is intense and defined, with aromas of white-fleshed fruit and hints of citrus, especially grapefruit and lime zest, accompanied by peach and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is fresh and vibrant, with consistent fruity sensations and a pleasantly savory and persistent finish that keeps the sip clean.

Food pairings

It pairs effortlessly with seafood dishes where freshness and savoriness are key, such as shellfish and seafood risottos. It is also recommended with linguine with lobster, where it complements the sweetness of the shellfish and supports the briny-salty aspect, keeping the palate refreshed and ready for the next bite.

When to serve it

It’s ideal when you want a ready-to-drink white wine, combining a defined aromatic profile and lively character. Best served chilled, to highlight its citrus notes and vibrant mouthfeel. It is especially suited to lunches and dinners based on fish and shellfish, thanks to its savory finish and production style focused on fruit purity.
