"Nature loves simplicity; simplicity is the form of greatness." In these words, Vittorio Puiatti manages to encapsulate the winery’s philosophy: to create simple wines that make simplicity their form of greatness. Thus these wines are born, bearing the mark of the slow passage of time, because there is no rush in the cellar. Born of the Puiatti method, as rigorous as it is elusive, they are the result of poetry and imagination.
Proudly Friulian, they are among the finest interpreters of Ribolla Gialla in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Ribolla Gialla has its roots in Dalmatia, as the variety is also found under the name Rebula along the coasts of Southern Dalmatia and in the Ionian Islands, particularly on Kefalonia. It is believed to have reached Friuli via Venetian ports, finding in this land sun-drenched hillside exposures and dry, well-drained soils that favor its best expression. It is a wine with a delicate bouquet, with fresh floral and citrus notes. On the palate it is light, with a zesty, lemony acidity, making it a delight to enjoy as an aperitif, with light appetizers or delicate fish dishes.
