LANATA VILLA

Villa Lanata is the farm born to enhance the perfection of the grapes of the rolling hills of the Langhe, in Cossano Belbo. The company takes its name from the splendid Villa overlooking the vineyard, on the hill called “la Rovere”, once owned by Cardinal Lanata and now owned by the Martini brothers.

In the vineyards surrounding the villa, the Chardonnay grapes are born which, pressed immediately after harvest with soft pressing, give life to the fragrant and inviting Chardonnay Villa Lanata, perfect as an aperitif and with summer menus, fresh cheeses and fish dishes. The range is completed by the Villa Lanata Piemonte Rosso, a very pleasant blend of barbera, merlot, dolcetto and nebbiolo from the Langhe, which ferments and matures in steel, thus maintaining all the juiciness and aromas of red fruit of the grapes. Villa Lanata's Barbera d'Asti Superiore is a red wine produced in the provinces of Asti and Alessandria.

Barbera grapes are harvested manually in September. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks in contact with the skins for 10-15 days. The refinement involves at least 6 months in wood and 3 months in steel, giving the wine a complex and well-balanced structure.
