lugana
Lugana DOC is an interregional denomination, which extends in the territories south of Lake Garda, in particular in the municipalities of Desenzano, Lonato, Pozzolengo and Sirmione in the province of Brescia and Peschiera del Garda in the province of Verona. The Lugana DOC wine is produced with the Turbiana or Trebbiano di Lugana grape variety, genetically very similar to Verdicchio and Trebbiano di Soave.
Thanks to the climate mitigated by the presence of Lake Garda and the clay-rich soils, Lugana wines are harmonious and full-bodied, fresh and mineral white wines. They are wines with good aging potential, which express the best after a few years of bottle aging.
