Description
Rocas de Seña is a Chilean wine from the Aconcagua Valley, created as the second label of Seña and inspired by the rocky soils that characterize the vineyard. The blend combines Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Mourvèdre, and Grenache, merging the Bordeaux style with Mediterranean varieties capable of expressing elegance, youthful freshness, and a strong sense of place.
The winemaking process highlights the purity of the fruit and the natural balance of the grapes, which come from selected blocks of the Seña vineyard. The ageing takes place entirely in French oak barrels for about eighteen months, contributing to the integration of structure, complexity, and finesse without weighing down the wine's fresh and vibrant profile.
In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose it is expressive and pure, with aromas of cranberry, blueberry, rosemary, dill, and slight hints of nutmeg; on the palate, it is fresh and juicy, with a savory character, a fine texture, and a persistent finish.
It pairs harmoniously with grilled meats, herb-crusted lamb, or spicy dishes made with vegetables and legumes.
