Description
The iconic combination between the Baratheon House and the Royal Lochnagara finds its common feature in the royal lineage. Like Robert Baratheon, lord of the Seven Kingdoms on the Game of Thrones, the Royal Lochnagar is also considered a whiskey worthy of a royal family, as it was awarded a Royal Warrant in 1848, after visiting the distillery of Queen Victoria and the Prince Albert. To savor its regal taste delicately balanced by fruits and spices, it is best enjoyed smooth.
The pale amber color of this single malt is light and delicate, just like the aromas of this 12-year-old Royal Lochnagar, which gives soft notes of oak before releasing hints of banana flambé with caramelized raw cane sugar. Light notes of sweet licorice develop on the palate in a rich and creamy vanilla coffee taste, with a delicate note of nutmeg custard on the finish.
It is best enjoyed straight or with a drop of water.
