Description

The Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro dal Cero di Cà dei Frati is dedicated to the father of the current owners of the winery, born right in the extraordinary territory of Valpolicella, to reaffirm its history and savor the taste of those places.

It is produced with Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes, grown in the Pian di Castagnè vineyards, on the Veronese hills. After a period of drying in the box for 4 months, the grapes are macerated in steel with prolonged contact. The wine then ages in barriques for 24 months, then ages for another 12 months in steel and rests for at least 24 months in bottle before being marketed.

Pietro dal Cero Amarone has a rare intense ruby red color. The nose opens with exuberant notes of black cherry and pleasant aromas of chocolate and sweet spices, followed by fine floral notes of purple rose. Later, strong hints of star anise and wild mint emerge, with a subtle undertone of coffee and gentle tobacco.

Perfect as a meditation wine, at the table it is perfect in combination with aged cheeses, long-cooked meats, such as braised, stewed and stewed, and game.
