Description

Amarone della Valpolicella Annaberta by Cottini is a superb red wine made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, representing the Venetian tradition and the appassimento technique. This wine offers extraordinary intensity and elegance, designed to deliver depth and complexity, ideal for important occasions and special moments.

The production process involves hand harvesting followed by a period of grape drying for several months, during which aromas and structure are concentrated. After destemming and crushing, there is a slow fermentation at controlled temperature, followed by long ageing in barriques, tonneaux, and large barrels, giving further complexity and balance.

It displays a deep red color with garnet hues. The nose reveals a rich bouquet with notes of cherry and wild berries, enriched by balsamic nuances and, with evolution, hints of dried fruit, chocolate, and light toasting. On the palate, it is full-bodied, soft, and velvety, with a substantial structure and a long, enveloping finish.

It pairs well with braised meats, game, roasts, grilled red meats, and aged cheeses; it is also interesting with dark chocolate.
