Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Costasera from the Masi Winery was born in the vineyards overlooking Lake Garda, in the area of the Classic Valpolicella.
It is produced from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, all harvested and selected manually. This Amarone represents, for Cantina Masi, the reference point of this category of wines, which together with Barolo and Brunello symbolizes the aristocracy of Italian reds. Costasera is the result of the experience of the Masi in the drying technique. Once harvested, the grapes used rest on bamboo racks during the winter thus concentrating the aromas.
Costasera Classic Amarone is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of cooked fruit, plums and cherry. On the palate it is fruity, enriched with aromas of coffee and cocoa. This is a refined, balanced and pleasantly elegant wine.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
