Description
What kind of wine it is
Barbaresco by Produttori del Barbaresco is an intense and structured red wine, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. This expression reflects the dedication of around fifty member growers united in the cooperative winery to highlight their territory. The result is a glass with a defined profile, characterized by powerful tannins and great structure, able to evolve over time while retaining an authentic style consistent with the grape variety.
Where it comes from
This red from Piedmont belongs to the renowned Barbaresco appellation. It is born of the deep connection between the member growers and their land, as they cultivate vineyards to provide high-quality raw material, worked with the utmost respect. The cooperative management brings together experience and knowledge of the territory, enhancing the distinctive characteristics of the grape in an area highly suited to the production of long-lived, rigorous wines.
How it is produced
The vinification process follows a precise technical approach to enhance the grape’s qualities. The must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C and undergoes a thirty-day skin maceration to ensure the ideal extraction of color and matter. After malolactic fermentation, the wine undergoes twenty-four months of aging in oak barrels, essential to integrate the tannic texture and solidify its gustatory profile.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it displays a brilliant intense ruby red color. The aromatic profile focuses on prominent notes of ripe red fruit, offering clear and well-defined hints of currant, raspberry, and blueberry. On the palate, it reveals a full and enveloping body, captivating with its solid balance between fruitiness and remarkable structural richness, thus ensuring a vigorous and particularly persistent finish.
Food pairings
At the table, this red wine finds its best expression paired with first courses of egg pasta dressed with rich preparations. Its power and depth of tannins make it the natural companion for red meat main courses, such as roasts and grilled dishes. It is also particularly suitable for pairing with boards of medium-aged cheeses, thanks to its structure’s ability to balance savoriness and texture.
When to serve it
This is the perfect choice to accompany convivial lunches and important dinners where bold flavors and meat play a central role. This Barbaresco ensures a solid and composed drinking experience, able to satisfy those seeking a broad and persistent taste profile. It can be poured young to enjoy its evident fruity intensity, or cellared to allow a greater integration of the tannic structure over the years.
