Description

Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo is one of the most famous labels of the Langhe, the result of Angelo Gaja's stubborn and tenacious commitment in wanting to enhance the potential of one of the best parcels of the Barbaresco appellation.

In ancient times the sunniest vineyards were called with the name Sorì, which guaranteed superior quality grapes every year. San Lorenzo is a real cru, which is harvested with a rigorous selection of the grapes, first in the vineyard then in the cellar. At the end of fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in barrique and for 12 months in large barrels before concluding the long aging in the bottle.

Extraordinarily fine and refined, it has a bright ruby color and expresses floral aromas of red currant, raspberry, morello cherry, hints of citrus, aromatic herbs and spices. The sip is elegant, harmonious and delicately multifaceted, with a fresh and balsamic finish.

To be combined with first courses with savory sauces, game ragout or roasted white meats.
