Description

The Barbera d'Alba Superiore Marun di Correggia comes from the homonymous vineyard located within the spectacular landscape of the Roero, in the municipality of Canale d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo.

It is made exclusively from Barbera grapes, manually harvested in late September. Vinification takes place entirely in steel, with maceration in contact with the skins for 8-10 days. The wine ages for at least 15 months in large and small barrels, followed by a further 12 months of aging in bottle before being marketed.

The Marun di Correggia has a ruby red color with garnet nuances. The nose has intense notes of vanilla and other spices, enriched with pleasant fruity hints. On the palate it shows a good freshness and softness, great elegance and a slight embroidery of toasted notes in the finish.

Excellent with first courses with meat sauce, it proves excellent in the company of roasts, stewed meats and mature cheeses.
