Description
The Barolo Lazzarito of Casa E. di Mirafiore was born in the vineyards located in Lazzarito, in one of the most important crus in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, which undergo de-stemming and pressing with frequent daily pumping over, to optimize the extraction of tannins and color. Fermentation takes place in cement containers at a controlled temperature of 20 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barriques for about 2 years and for a further period in the bottle.
Lazzarito is characterized by a ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose opens with rich aromas of ripe plums, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of tobacco, mint and cinnamon. On the palate it results with a very dense and dense texture of tannins which gives the wine a sensation of pleasant softness and harmony.
Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
