Description

Barolo Conteisa di Gaja is one of the most representative labels of this winery, which made the history of Abruzzo wine. The estate is located in the splendid territory of Loreto Aprutino, in a hilly area between the Gran Sasso massif and the Adriatic Sea, characterized by strong temperature variations, which favor excellent ripening of the grapes.

The classic red vinification with maceration on the skins is followed by a maturation for 12 months in large barrels and an aging of 4 years in the bottle.

Deep and intense, it has a dark red color and offers rich aromas of ripe red fruit, plums, black cherries, blackberries, hints of undergrowth and humus. On the palate it denotes an important structure, with dense and complex aromas, dense tannins well integrated with the body of the wine and a very persistent finish.

To combine with grilled meats, roasts and game.
