Bolgheri Superiore DOC Maronea 2015 Casa di Terra

The expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, in Bolgheri Maronea of Casa di Terra, becomes the protagonist of a story made of sun, light, breeze and vine-covered hills that run to the sea. The wonderful land of Bolgheri, in Tuscany, animates the identity traits of two international varieties that have historically found a home in this corner of the coast.

Cabernet Sauvignon makes up the majority, representing 85% of the blend, while Cabernet Franc comes in precious support with a fundamental 15%. The wine ferments in steel tanks by the action of indigenous yeasts and ages for 18 months in 1st and 2nd passage French oak barrels. A 6-month refinement in the bottle completes the process.

It already fascinates in the red texture, ruby color, to the eye. The olfactory bouquet travels on the fruity notes of ripe cherries and wild strawberries, then showing animal notes of leather and the more earthy and toasted ones reminiscent of truffles and coffee. Rich, concentrated but at the same time elegant. It persists in a trail of complexity.
