Description
This Chardonnay from Domaine de Montille comes from two plots located in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet. It is a cuvée that authentically introduces the style of the historic Burgundian maison, offering a taste of the elegance and purity typical of their wines, even at the more accessible levels of the Bourgogne appellation.
Vinification begins with gentle pressing followed by a light débourbage. The musts ferment in barrels, where both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place. No new barrels are used, thus preserving the freshness and precision of the fruit. After a year in wood, the wine is refined in stainless steel for 4-6 months before filtration and bottling.
The bouquet is delicate and fresh, with notes of citrus, crisp apple and yellow fruit. On the palate, it appears linear and mineral, with a well-defined structure that highlights the wine’s concentration and enhances its liveliness. The result is a balanced, luminous white with great harmony.
Ideal with cold vegetable-based starters or light dishes of steamed white fish.
