Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Brut Réserve by Emile Leclère is crafted in Mardeuil, in the Vallée de la Marne. The winemaking process follows the Traditional Method, requiring fermentation in stainless steel tanks and an extended period of aging on the lees. This meticulous approach results in an elegant and harmonious style, where freshness and minerality blend with a creamy texture and a fine, persistent perlage.

Where it comes from

This Champagne comes from Mardeuil, in the Vallée de la Marne, close to Épernay. Vine care is entrusted to the family of Emile Leclère, fifth-generation winegrowers who cultivate twelve hectares as independent vignerons. This unique geographical location within the region contributes to an organoleptic profile based on freshness, balance, and a precise expression of the local terroir.

How it is produced

Production strictly follows the Traditional Method, beginning with manual harvesting to preserve the integrity of the grape clusters. After temperature-controlled fermentation in steel, the wine is aged for an extensive period on the lees to enhance its complexity. The practices of remuage and manual disgorgement complete the process, perfecting the persistence of the perlage and the structure on the palate.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a fine perlage, a reliable indicator of a well-managed second fermentation. The bouquet is rich and layered, dominated by ripe white fruit and citrus notes, followed by hints of white flowers, toasted bread, and hazelnut. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with the freshness and minerality characteristic of Champagne supported by a pleasant creaminess, offering a persistent and clean finish.

Pairings

Perfect from the aperitif, it pairs beautifully with fresh oysters, seafood starters, and fish carpaccio that highlight its delicacy. Its balance between creamy texture and lively tension makes it suitable for complementing soft cheeses. At the table, it enhances light seafood main courses and traditional recipes, creating an intriguing interplay between salty notes and the liveliness of the bubbles.

When to serve it

It is an ideal choice for elegant aperitifs, as well as for lunches and dinners dedicated to seafood specialties. Its appeal allows it to be served both at the beginning and throughout the meal, emphasizing convivial moments and celebratory toasts. This is the ideal Champagne to savor when seeking a satisfying sip and a complex aromatic profile, readily appreciated from the first taste.
