Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Brut La Cuvée by Laurent-Perrier originates from the Champagne region and is made from a carefully balanced blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. The white vinification process and subsequent secondary fermentation in the bottle follow the strict rules of the Traditional Method, which includes prolonged aging on the lees. This process gives the wine a fresh, structured character with remarkable aromatic precision. The palate is extremely clean, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage that is true to the style of this type of wine.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from the historic Champagne region, an area in northeastern France historically renowned for sparkling wine production. The cool climate here ensures that the grapes mature gradually, which is essential for preserving their acidity and aromatic definition. The blend of traditional grape varieties, cultivated in selected plots, enables the maintenance of a consistent and recognizable style, which stands out for its remarkable quality balance.

How it is produced

Production begins with the manual harvest and selection of the best Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier grapes. After traditional white vinification, the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle following the Traditional Method. The Champagne remains on its lees for at least 36 months, a long period that enhances its aromatic complexity and delivers a well-integrated mousse, bringing the cuvée to the typical Brut balance.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow color, highlighted by a creamy mousse and a fine perlage. The nose opens with intense aromas that clearly recall yellow fruit and delicate morello cherry, while maintaining a fragrant and linear profile. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, offering a generous sip that combines excellent drinkability with a well-balanced structure, leading the tasting to an extremely clean finish.

Food pairings

The great freshness of this Champagne makes it ideal to be served as an aperitif or alongside various dishes. It naturally pairs with fish dishes and shellfish, as it enhances delicate textures and marine flavors. It is perfect with a seafood platter or light starters, where the liveliness of the sip and the precision of the bubbles effectively cleanse the palate with every taste.

When to serve it

This Brut suits multiple occasions and proves to be the right choice whenever you want to enjoy Champagne with a straightforward and approachable style. It is ideal for moments that require freshness and a creamy mousse, without ever compromising on characteristic flavor depth. Thanks to the extended aging on the lees, it offers a harmonious and full sip, perfectly suitable for toasts or extended table service.
