Description
Calvet's Châteauneuf-du-Pape was born in the Rhône Valley. The cellar has belonged to the Calvet family since the 1800s.
The Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah grapes are vinified in thermoregulated vats with a maceration that lasts approx. 2 weeks. The wine ages in oak barrels for at least 15 months.
Deep ruby red in colour, the nose has aromas of strawberry, orange marmalade, candied fruit and vanilla. The sip is dry and warm, with soft tannins.
Excellent with roasted meats, it does not disdain aged cheeses.
