Description

The Chianti Classico Riserva Gherardino di Vignamaggio was born in vineyards located in the Florentine municipality of Greve in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected by hand between the end of September and the first days of October. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, the wine ages for about 18 months in oak barrels and for another 3 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

Gherardino di Vignamaggio has an intense red color. The nose opens with a large and intense bouquet of cherry and raspberry. In the mouth it proves full, soft and round.

Perfect to accompany game and red meats, it is ideal in combination with cold cuts and cold cuts typical of the Tuscan tradition.
