Description
La Misse is a Chianti Classico from the Panzano in Chianti area, in the province of Florence.
It consists of a blend of Sangiovese, mainly Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera. These grapes are harvested from the La Misse cru, from which this Chianti Classico takes its name. A long maceration of about 28 days precedes an aging of about 18 months in cement tanks.
Ruby red, at sight. The scent is markedly fruity and reminiscent of cherry, raspberry and morello cherry, flanked by notes of rose and geranium. In the mouth it is fresh and fruity, with an excellent body and an energetic entrance. Good persistence in a fruity echo.
To be combined with an appetizer of Tuscan crostini.
