Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru AOC 2014 Domaine des Lambrays

The Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru is a wine of rare excellence, produced by the Grand Cru Clos des Lambrays - monopoly of the Domaine des Lambrays - in Morey Saint Denis.

It is pure Pinot Noir, coming from the highest Grand Cru in the Morey Saint Denis area, with its 320 meters above sea level. The grapes are rigorously and carefully harvested by hand, then fermented in steel and aged in wooden barrels, half of which are new, for a period of approximately 18 months.

Its color is red, with a bright and lively ruby hue. The complex nose introduces hints of blackberry and cassis, undergrowth, earth, a mineral note of graphite and a fine hint of leather. In the mouth it is vertical, very fine and precise, with a well-developed and composed tannic texture. The endless persistence makes the class of this elegant wine echo in the mouth.

Ideal in combination with important red meat dishes. Recommended in combination with a duck breast with caramelized cherries.
