Description

The Stèfen 1624 of the De Stefani winery takes its name from the ancient name of the De Stefani family and from the vineyard to which this name was given. The wine is produced in the Colvendrame farm, on the hills of Refrontolo.

It is made from 100% Marzemino grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October and left to dry. They are then crushed-destemmed and vinified, with the fermentation ending in barrique. Here the wine is aged for 36 months, to conclude with 18 months in the bottle.

Intense ruby red color, the nose recalls aromas of violets, ripe wild berries, morello cherries and ripe blackberries. The sip is wide and enveloping, velvety and with a persistent finish.

It goes perfectly with baked pasta, roasted red meats and game as well as aged cheeses.
